News about hardware wallets being stolen has been all over the feeds lately.
I bet a lot of people are wondering: one firmware vulnerability in Coldcard led to over 100 million being lost, and Ledger has also had supply chain issues exposed—with many people having their assets wiped out entirely.
So, what wallets are actually worth trusting with your assets?
Why not switch to a Tangem cold wallet and give it a try? @Tangem
Official link:
💯 It uses a Samsung security chip with EAL6+ certification (the same level as passports). Private keys are generated inside the chip and never leave the card. There’s no seed phrase by default, so there’s no paper backup to steal.
The firmware is installed at the factory and can’t be updated, completely closing off the possibility of remote tampering.
It has been independently audited (by Kudelski, Riscure, and others), with over 6 million cards worldwide. The company says none have ever been hacked. Top-level security.
It’s also much simpler to use: just tap it against your phone with NFC. Secure and convenient. Back up with multiple cards, so losing one is no problem.
With so many thefts lately, it might be time to switch to something more reliable.
