【If LINK falls to $10, is Chainlink dead?】
I asked a few friends around me who are still keeping an eye on LINK. Their answers fell into two camps: one said, “It’s pretty much over. At this price, just play dead and wait for the bull market”; the other was more blunt: “Chainlink doesn’t live or die by its token price. It’ll just keep doing what it does.”
To be honest, I agree more with the second view.
Today, the FNG stands at 61, so market sentiment is still in greedy territory, with a weekly average of 66. LINK is down 0.7% over 24 hours and 8% over seven days. Trading is subdued, and investors are sitting on the sidelines. Technically, $12.57 is strong support, while $13.49 is recent resistance. A decisive move is approaching.
But that’s not what I want to talk about.
What’s really interesting is that LINK is down 75% from its high, and its valuation has entered deeply discounted territory. What does that mean?
I’ve worked on several digital transformation projects in traditional industries, and the biggest lesson I’ve learned is this: to judge whether a technology can succeed, don’t look at its short-term price. Look at whether anyone is willing to pay for what it does. What Chainlink is working on now—cross-chain interoperability and bringing real-world assets on-chain—addresses genuine needs. And as traditional financial institutions enter the space, those needs will only grow.
In other words, LINK’s fundamentals haven’t collapsed. A falling price doesn’t mean its business is falling apart.
But here’s the question: who will be affected by this?
Institutions and market makers will have more incentive to build positions at these levels, because the risk-reward is starting to look attractive. Those speculating purely on price may still have a rough short term. Whether this can truly become reality ultimately depends on progress with RWAs in traditional finance. If things move quickly, LINK’s value will be repriced; if not, it’ll be a waiting game.
I’m inclined to think the risk-reward is starting to look interesting in this range.
What do you think—is LINK worth holding through this dip?
