【Market Update】A new type of spyware targeting crypto wallets has appeared on iPhones. Users with mobile wallets should be on alert.
Security firm iVerify disclosed the variant on October 8, codenamed P7 DarkSword, after detecting an infection in August. It contains commands specifically targeting cryptocurrency wallet apps and can remotely steal wallet data. It also collects sensitive credentials from the device, such as passwords and photos, and extracts data approximately every 15 seconds. This means that once a device is compromised, attackers can obtain sensitive information without having to crack the wallet itself.
