The International Monetary Fund said tokenized U.S. stocks support around-the-clock trading and fractional ownership, with more than half of trades taking place outside regular market hours and about 80% involving less than one share. According to Odaily, the IMF said overnight price moves contain useful information, and more than 85% of those moves are reflected in traditional stock prices within five minutes of the market open.

The IMF added that the tokenized stock market remains small and fragmented. It said tokenization can improve settlement and automation processes, but legal, liquidity, and interoperability safeguards need to be strengthened.
