Bull and bear markets, explained in a few sentences:
A market’s shift from one phase to another is usually only confirmed in hindsight; it’s hard to tell what’s happening while you’re in the middle of it.
“Cycles” are summaries of past trends, not rules written into an agreement. With few examples and constantly changing conditions, past patterns don’t necessarily repeat in the future.
When you see a prediction about “how much farther this cycle can go,” first ask what it’s based on. Don’t mistake someone else’s forecast for a conclusion.
