Market cap and trading volume explained in three sentences:
Turnover is generally estimated by dividing 24-hour trading volume by market cap, and indicates how quickly tokens change hands.
Market cap is calculated by multiplying the price by the circulating supply. It doesn’t equal the actual money invested; when trading is quiet, even a small amount of money can significantly push up market cap.
Judging whether a coin is “cheap” just by its price is not very meaningful—you need to consider its circulating supply and market cap as well.
