$TRX TRON founder Justin Sun said that the network’s quantum-resistant security layer is ready and can be deployed to the mainnet at any time, providing protection in preparation for “Q-Day.”
To address the potential threats that quantum computing and AI pose to current elliptic curve cryptography, TRON announced a quantum-resistant upgrade plan in April this year and launched the “Nile” testnet in July, using the lattice-based Falcon-512 signature scheme. Ivan Miskovic, founder of the Quantum Foundation, called for rigorous internal and independent external security audits to be completed before the mainnet launch.
