$BTC was rock solid today, up just 0.21%. The funding rate is still negative, so the short sellers are probably crying in the bathroom.
But these people definitely haven't noticed $LUMIA . This thing surged 82% in 24 hours, with the price reaching 0.152. I took a look at the order book: volume was 28 million—not especially high, but the gain is genuinely outrageous. A sudden pump like this is either driven by good news from the project team or a market maker playing games. Judging by the order book, buy orders at the best bid are pretty thin, so the latter seems more likely.
I bought a small position around 0.13 and set a stop-loss at 0.11. Might as well give it a shot.
Another disaster is NFP, which crashed 65%, leaving it at 0.00181. This isn't a panic sell-off; it's a straight-up nosedive. Trading volume was only 3.8 million, with virtually no buyers stepping in. A drop like this means either something has gone wrong with the project or the market maker is dumping tokens after listing. I said before not to touch these small-cap coins, and this just proves my point.
As for whether to chase it, buying in at a level like $LUMIA is just handing money to the market maker. Wait for a pullback before considering it. Forget NFP—don't try to catch a falling knife.
