【What seasoned crypto traders are thinking while the FNG Index is still at 61, in Greed】

Those of you holding HBAR, how are you feeling right now?

I’ll go first. Lately, I’m getting a little tired of watching the charts. Not because I’m losing money, but because of that feeling of “it’s no good whether it goes down or up.” It’s fallen nearly 10% in 7 days, and it’s still hovering around -0.6% over the past 24 hours. Support at 0.089 is looking very shaky. Rationally, I tell myself “it hasn’t broken down yet,” but I’ve already quietly moved my stop-loss orders up two notches.

The FNG Index is at 61, which supposedly means Greed. Do you believe it? I’m not so sure. That number suggests the market as a whole is still in optimistic territory, but HBAR’s own price action has clearly fallen behind—it doesn’t follow when the broader market rises, but it falls along with it when the market drops. I haven’t looked closely at the funding rate, but with weak assets like this, a wave of collective FOMO often means the big players are selling.

Down 84% from its ATH. I’ve seen that number countless times since 2017. What happens to coins that fall more than 80%? Most either go to zero or move sideways forever. A few recover, but the wait can drive you crazy.

Someone told me, “HBAR’s fundamentals have changed. You can buy the dip now.” I asked what had changed, and he couldn’t say—just, “It’s fallen a lot.” See, that’s the dangerous part. When “it’s fallen a lot” becomes the reason to buy, instead of “something new has happened,” are the reasons it fell so much still there?

My mindset right now is: it’s fine to keep a core position, but I absolutely won’t add to it. If it gets close to 0.095, I’ll start trimming, even if that means missing out on more gains. I won’t regret it. In 2021, I couldn’t bring myself to sell, and ended up going from profit to loss.

What about you? Are you planning to stubbornly hold through this HBAR move or reduce your position? Don’t lie to yourself.
