What’s the difference between a native coin and a token?
To transfer any token on a blockchain, you also need to pay gas fees with that chain’s native coin. If your address doesn’t have any native coins, you can’t make the transfer. Wrapped tokens represent an asset on another chain or under another standard at a 1:1 ratio. For example, WBTC is an ERC-20 token on Ethereum that represents Bitcoin.
It’s useful to know the difference between native coins and tokens: choosing a chain, setting aside gas, and checking contract addresses all require you to know what kind of asset you have.
$ETH is Ethereum’s native coin. You also need $ETH to pay gas when transferring tokens on Ethereum.

Just my personal opinion—don’t take it too seriously.
