#xrp账本修复可增发xrp的漏洞
XRP’s fixed total supply was once vulnerable to being bypassed through a code flaw.
On October 9, XRPL disclosed a critical vulnerability that could generate XRP out of thin air: an integer overflow in the payment engine, with a similar flaw in the anti-inflation check.
The vulnerability was urgently patched on September 25, and officials said they found no evidence that it had been exploited on the mainnet.
When even the security checks designed to protect the supply can fail at the same time, scarcity written into a protocol cannot be treated as an absolute guarantee.
The swift fix demonstrated the ability to respond to emergencies, but a vulnerability that existed for about a decade, security checks that failed together, and the limits of governance during emergency upgrades still warrant scrutiny.
Independent verification is still needed to rule out systemic security issues.
