Micron $MUB made $37.7 billion in net profit in one quarter

Its share buyback plan was expanded from $10 billion to $35.16 billion, effective December 9, 2026.

Meanwhile, Micron’s quarterly net profit surged more than tenfold year over year.

After the earnings report came out, the stock barely moved.
Why?

Because the market may have already priced in the good news.

What really matters isn’t how much Micron earned, but how long this memory upcycle can last and whether its future results can continue to exceed market expectations.

Good results don’t necessarily mean the stock will rise. Markets always trade on the gap between expectations and reality.
