$ARB is now at 0.19734, up 6.81% in 24 hours, while BTC is up only about 0.48% over the same period (82985). ARB’s move is more than ten times the broader market’s.

Market action: Gate perpetuals hit a 24-hour high of 0.19748 and a low of 0.18287 (yesterday at 18:00), for a range of about 8%. Trading volume was around 3.15 million U, and the funding rate was -0.0042% (8h). Yesterday, price mostly drifted within 0.1835–0.1870 all day. At 23:00, about 360,000 U in volume pushed it to 0.18731, but it failed to hold there. The move higher only began around 04:00–05:00. At 05:00, about 150,000 U in volume pushed it to 0.1905, and it retested 0.188–0.189 from 06:00 to 08:00 without breaking below. During the 09:00 hour, volume reached about 310,000 U, and a single candle surged to 0.19752. Volume was close to that of the 23:00 candle the previous night, breaking price above the sideways range of the past day.

My take: This was a high-volume breakout after a full night of consolidation, not a single-wick move. The pullback held above 0.188, suggesting buyers are stepping in at higher levels. The funding rate is still negative, so shorts are paying and the rally has fuel. But price is already near the daily high, making the risk/reward mediocre for chasing it.

Conclusion: Bullish bias, but don’t chase. If a pullback stabilizes around 0.1895–0.191, consider a small long position, with initial targets at 0.200 and 0.205. If the price closes back below 0.188, that would mean the breakout has been reversed, so exit the long. Keep the position size below 5% of your capital.
