“You can trade it on the day of the TGE”—is that accurate?
This is how I understand it: a TGE means the token goes from being a “contractual promise” to becoming a real on-chain asset. Unlocks and distributions are usually scheduled from that point onward.
Many projects’ unlock schedules use the TGE as their starting point—for example, “locked for 12 months after the TGE.”
Unlike $ARB , $EIGEN could not initially be transferred after its TGE in 2024; transfers were only enabled at the end of September.
