Good morning! One-sentence summary of the overnight action: U.S. stocks are rising, crypto is waiting, and $BTC it's stuck around 83,000 ☕
1️⃣ U.S. stocks: The three major indexes closed higher on Friday
According to AP, the S&P 500 rose 0.6% on Friday to close at 7,811, just shy of its record high set three days earlier. The 10-year Treasury yield remains elevated at 5.24%. U.S. earnings season kicks off next week, and risk appetite is still strong.
2️⃣ ETH: Spot ETFs see net outflows for 9th consecutive day
According to The Block, net outflows from Ethereum spot ETFs extended to a ninth straight day, while the record-breaking 14-week streak of net inflows into Solana funds also came to an end. Institutional investors have clearly been pulling out of altcoin ETFs this week.$ETH ETH has fallen about 8% over the past 7 days, twice as much as BTC.
3️⃣ Geopolitics: Trump rules out military action against Iran
According to CoinDesk, after Trump ruled out strikes against Iran, BTC returned to around $82,500, but it’s still down about 4% for the week. Oil prices and geopolitical news remain the biggest sources of volatility in recent days.
What to watch today
It’s Sunday, and there are no major macroeconomic data releases today. U.S. ETF flows won’t be updated until after Monday’s close. Weekend liquidity is thin, so the odds of a sharp wick are higher than usual.
Key BTC levels today (Binance 4-hour chart, 08:48)
The moving averages are intertwined and the MACD histogram is red; the market hasn’t picked a direction yet.
Resistance is at 83,186, followed by the MA99 at 84,126. Support is at 82,563, followed by this week’s low of 80,394.
If BTC holds above 83,186, it could test 84,126;
If it falls below 82,563, it will likely retest the 80,394 area.
My take: The weekend isn’t a good time to bet on a direction. Let’s see what the ETF flow data shows on Monday.
Are you planning to make a move today, or wait until Monday?
