The Pentagon has changed the numbers again. The New York Times says the number of U.S. military casualties in Iran has been revised upward once more. Figures like this usually aren't revised twice in a row unless something has really gone wrong on the ground.

$XAU is now at 4195.45, basically unchanged over the past 24 hours, down 0.06%. $CL is at 91.19, up 0.34%. The market is quiet, as if nothing is happening—and that's the strangest part. In the first wave of an escalating geopolitical conflict, crude oil often lags, but gold staying put is interesting. Either the market doesn't believe it, or it hasn't caught on yet.

My view is simple: if $CL gets above 92 tomorrow, don't hesitate. If $XAU gets knocked below 4190, that would actually be a cleaner entry point. Safe-haven money never rushes in the moment the news breaks—that's what retail traders do.

At these prices, patience matters more than direction. But don't wait too long. Once something like this gathers momentum, the market will open with a gap.
