$92.9 million stolen from Ledger via CryptoBilis; some $USDT has been frozen.
The estimated losses in the hack involving funds stolen through Ledger distributor CryptoBilis have risen from around $86 million to $92.9 million, across 311 customer wallets—far more than the 98 wallets initially reported.
Tether confirmed that it has frozen some of the USDT in the stolen funds, preventing the attacker from withdrawing more through this channel.
The remaining funds are still being moved around across various chains and relayers. Ledger has not disclosed what percentage of the total losses it has managed to track down.
If you bought a hardware wallet through a third-party distributor, take this as a reminder to check the device’s origin before funding it.
What to watch today: will Ledger disclose more affected wallets, or is the figure now final at 311?
Personal observation, not investment advice.
