Sunday Morning Briefing|Weekend markets are relatively quiet
$BTC is currently around 83,000 U, slightly in the green over 24 hours (about +0.5%); $ETH is around 2,500 U, also up by less than 1%. Weekend trading volumes have tapered off, with none of the noise seen during the midweek wave of institutional redemptions.
Just keep these points in mind from overnight: U.S. spot ETFs saw net outflows totaling close to $1 billion over two days midweek (about $700 million on the BTC side, while ETH outflows continued for several days). The BTC side only managed a small net inflow on Friday, while ETH products continued to bleed. So the broader market’s ability to “hold steady” looks more like a breather after deleveraging than a fresh surge of capital flowing back in. On the security front, the follow-up on the Ledger supply-chain implant and the XRPL spillover disclosure have already had their moment in the news cycle—don’t chase them as new catalysts.
On today’s calendar: APT insider vesting is approaching around 10/12, so keep an eye on the supply side. OKJ in Japan is scheduled to begin board trading for NIGHT on the evening of the 13th (JST), and listing expectations could easily fuel short-term speculation first. FIL’s mid-month vesting completion and the AERO/VELO merger window before month-end are both points to watch over the medium term; there’s no need to force a directional trade over the weekend.
The above is a summary of public information and personal opinion, and does not constitute investment advice. Crypto is highly volatile; please make your own decisions.
