$NIGHT has stood out a little against the broader market today. Binance spot is up about 10% over 24 hours, with the current price around 0.050 USDT and trading volume in the 7 million USDT range. Over the same period, BTC has been almost flat (up about 0.4%).

The catalyst lines up: Japan’s regulated exchange OKJ (OKCoin Japan) announced on 10/10 that it will list Midnight’s NIGHT on 10/13 at 17:00 Japan time (the time may be adjusted). Trading, sales, recurring purchases, deposits and withdrawals will all be available, with support for the Cardano network. OKJ says that, as of the announcement, it is the first crypto-asset exchange operator in Japan to offer a NIGHT order book.

Midnight is an IOG-affiliated, privacy-focused L1 that emphasizes ZK-programmable privacy. It recently opened up permissionless smart contract deployment, and on-chain activity saw a bump. This listing adds a liquidity access point through a licensed Japanese exchange, rather than being a purely sentiment-driven rotation. In the short term, listing expectations could be priced in first; the key thing to watch is whether trading volume holds up after the market opens on the 13th.
