Let’s talk about liquidation prices.
The average entry price, leverage, position size, and applicable maintenance margin rate together determine the liquidation price for an isolated-margin position.
One thing many people overlook: maintenance margin is like a safety line. If your margin balance falls below it, the system will force-close your position, usually with an additional liquidation fee.
Rather than waiting to be liquidated, it’s better to set a stop-loss in advance. A voluntary stop-loss often results in a smaller loss than liquidation.
