Knowledge Notes | Cold Wallets and Hot Wallets
① A hot wallet is a wallet whose private keys are stored on an internet-connected device, such as a wallet app on your phone or a browser extension wallet.
② You can also make transfers with a cold wallet: sign the transaction on an offline device, then use an internet-connected device to broadcast it to the blockchain.
③ Even if you buy a cold wallet, be sure to write down your recovery phrase. If you lose the device, you can recover your wallet using the phrase.
