【If SUI breaks below $1, how will the market react?】

Honestly, watching SUI grind back and forth between $1.04 and $1.16 over the past few days, I keep thinking about one thing:

If a big red candle crashes straight through $1.04 tonight, how many people will get shaky hands in that moment?

It’s not the fear that it’ll keep falling—it’s that regretful feeling of “I should’ve sold earlier.” I know that feeling all too well from 2017—watching my account balance go from green to red and back to green, with my nerves swinging even more wildly than the candlesticks.

The FNG is at 64 now, with a weekly average of 66. To be honest, the numbers don’t point to extreme greed. But have you noticed one detail? The 7-day change is -4.6%, while the 24-hour change is +5.8%. What does that tell us? Some people are buying the dip, while others are getting out. The two sides are deadlocked around $1.10.

This is the hardest kind of price level to trade. If it breaks upward, everyone’s happy; if it breaks downward, everyone who bought in at the top gets trapped. Trading volume has climbed to more than 5% of market cap. That’s not the kind of activity retail investors can generate. Either whales are rebalancing their portfolios, or institutions are testing the waters.

Speaking of institutions, SUI recently launched Hashi, which lets people use BTC as collateral for borrowing without moving it off-chain. It sounds pretty impressive, but I have a question: why would BTC holders use their BTC as collateral? Just for the chance to earn an extra layer of returns, while taking on liquidation risk? I don’t quite understand the logic. The biggest strength of BTC is that you can just hold it and leave it alone. If you insist on locking it up to use leverage, who’s really taking advantage of whom?

Of course, I’m not saying the project is no good. I’m saying that as a token holder, you need to understand one thing: who’s currently holding and trading your position. If most of it is short-term hot money, it’ll rise fast and fall fast. If institutions are locking up their tokens, the price action may be steadier, but liquidity will suffer.

My mindset right now is: between $1.04 and $1.16, I’m not chasing the price, not selling at a loss, and not adding to my position either. I’m just watching.

What about you? If you’re holding SUI, how are you feeling right now? “I’ll wait a bit longer—it’s bound to go up,” or “I’ll sell as soon as it rises a little”? Honestly, do you dare to keep holding at this level?
