Solana dethrones Ethereum in crypto dApps

Solana generates $38.2 million in dApp revenue in seven days, compared with Ethereum’s lackluster performance, which can no longer keep up—even when its entire ecosystem is combined. Are we witnessing the start of a new era in the crypto market?

Solana generated $38.2 million in dApp revenue in seven days, compared with $11.7 million for Ethereum.

Ethereum, Base, Polygon, and OP Mainnet combined generated $21.2 million, compared with $38.2 million for Solana.

In August 2026, Solana was already the month’s number one, with $143 million, or 38% of the onchain total, according to DefiLlama.

We’ll meet again on October 31, 2026, for the monthly close, which will show whether this crypto lead still holds.

Solana outpaces Ethereum in dApps over 7 days

Solana earns more than three times as much as Ethereum from dApps in 7 days: $38.2 million compared with $11.7 million, according to Token Terminal, in a ranking published by Solana Hub on October 10, 2026. Hyperliquid, a high-speed crypto trading platform, comes in second with $14.8 million. Ethereum still makes the podium, but not at the top.

Why keep an eye on this figure? Because it may point to strong activity generating revenue for the crypto network, beyond tokens bought in the hope that their price will rise. However, it doesn’t count the number of orders placed. Also, bear in mind the scope: the ranking tracks entities of different kinds (blockchains, platforms, ecosystems), rather than comparing ten identical blockchains.
