The hype around the latest XRPL vulnerability is far greater than the technical reality. The old vulnerability that could have created $XRP out of thin air was fixed, and a hardened update was released within days, before the issue was announced. It was also firmly confirmed that there had been no actual exploitation or coin minting on the public network. Incidents like this—and closing vulnerabilities quietly and quickly—are signs of maturity and institutional responsiveness, not weakness.
