NEAR’s nearcore 2.13 is now live, bringing ML-DSA-65 post-quantum signatures. Users can optionally add a post-quantum key without moving their assets, and their old keys will continue to work. Accounts will only get this layer of protection if they actively enable the new key.

After a public blockchain completes a generational tech upgrade, its price usually moves in three stages: a sentiment-driven spike, a pullback and confirmation, then a second decision point. NEAR is currently at 5.34, up 13.9% over 24 hours, after bouncing from around 4.7. That’s the first spike following the news. Chasing the price in the latter part of the spike is the least worthwhile move. Wait for a pullback to 4.7–4.9 on declining volume and signs of stabilization before entering. A break below 4.6 would mean sentiment has faded—exit. Only a sustained move above 5.5 would open up new territory.
