Hardware wallets aren’t foolproof and are vulnerable to supply chain tampering❗
After buying a new hardware wallet, leave it unused for a few weeks and monitor security news. Make sure there have been no attacks before transferring large amounts of funds.
If you’ve recently bought a Ledger, be especially vigilant. This incident involved a supplier-side supply chain attack, and tampered counterfeit devices may be circulating.
👉Buy through official channels whenever possible, self-custody your private keys, and take responsibility for your own security. If you suspect a device has been compromised, stop depositing funds immediately and move your assets to a new device.
