$TAO is up 3.2% on the day, but the number I care about is $1.4M in GPU rental spend, not the price.
Opentensor says Lium hit $1.4M in GPU rental spend over 30 days, up 45% from last month. that's the project's own post, so it's a claim and not an audit. but it's customers paying for compute, which most AI tokens can't point to.
same feed has Pareton saying subnet 10 miners got up to 54% faster inference on the same GPUs. add Root Reborn, where validators compete to build the best subnet baskets, and TAO yield now follows what subnets actually earn. staking finally has a scoreboard.
what smells: one neocloud isn't an economy, and all of it is self-reported. I want a second Lium before I call this a trend.
$TAO trades at $283.7, just under the 24h high of $285.6. if it holds $270.5, the 24h low, I think it breaks $285.6 next. if it loses $270.5, I'm wrong on this and there's nothing to defend, and anyone who bought up here is underwater on the whole day's range.
holding $270.5 or losing it?
