【ETH sees 9 straight days of outflows, SOL crashes right after setting a record 📉😵】

Nine straight trading days of outflows with no inflows—that’s a rare sight. $ETH saw net outflows of $542 million last week, its worst week since January. Outflows totaled $697 million over the nine days. The trend started on September 29. Institutions move much faster than retail investors. ⛔

BlackRock’s Ethereum fund led the outflows by far. It saw $477 million in redemptions in a single week, accounting for 88% of the total across the category. On Tuesday alone, $201.9 million was withdrawn—the fund’s biggest single-day outflow since January 21. In my view, this isn’t panic; it’s portfolio rebalancing. The money is looking for cheaper entry points. 🐋

Meanwhile, the other side of the story is even more interesting: it set a record, then immediately stumbled. $SOL funds saw net outflows of $24.8 million last week—their largest weekly outflow since launch. Their 14-week streak of net inflows came to an end just like that. All five trading days saw outflows—not a single day in the green. Just two weeks ago, they had attracted $188.2 million. 🔄

Put the three trends together, and the numbers look even more alarming. Bitcoin, Ethereum, and SOL ETFs saw combined net outflows of about $1.25 billion last week. The money hasn’t disappeared; it’s heading for the exits en masse. But there was a small reversal on Friday: Bitcoin ETFs saw net inflows of $21.13 million. 📈

That trickle of money coming back is far too small to call a turnaround. $1.25 billion went out, and $21.13 million came back. In my view, institutions are reducing leverage, not liquidating everything. Ethereum funds’ assets under management shrank by 10% in a week, leaving $15.71 billion. The money is switching tracks, not leaving the market. 🧭

Over the past few years, Ethereum has been institutions’ favorite crypto to buy. Now it’s the first asset they’re trimming. Bitcoin is still hovering around $83,000. Ethereum is trading at $2,507, while SOL is around $110. The market makes it clear who’s being abandoned first. ❄️

📌 $1.25 billion flowed out in a week; Ethereum saw outflows for 9 straight days, and SOL’s 14-week streak just ended.

At these levels, would you add Ethereum or switch to SOL? Let’s talk in the comments.
