$ALT funding flips while positions keep piling up

Just checked Binance futures.
ALT, 0.008054.
24h, +10.1%.
It rose first, then funding flipped.
OI: 2.5M>2.6M>2.7M>3.1M.
+23.1%.
They’re not pulling out—they’re adding.
Real money is flowing in.
Funding went from +0.0026% to -0.0006%.
From positive to negative.
In plain English: shorts are starting to gain the upper hand.
The catch is that shorts have to pay.
The longer they hold, the more it costs; expenses are rising.
Trading volume: $9.9M, market cap: $62.1M, spot pairs are active.
There’s plenty of activity, but no clear direction.
Negative funding + low prices only means the door for shorts to cover isn’t locked shut.
No rebound is guaranteed, but someone is bound to feel the pain first.
Whoever can’t take it will be the first to leave.

Negative funding doesn’t mean it’s safe. Leverage magnifies how quickly losses mount.
