I just checked my account. The XAUT grid triggered another round of take-profits near $4,186, but BTC was completely still, stuck at 82,994 without even a decent move. Honestly, looking at this lifeless sideways market, I don’t feel overjoyed—I feel deeply helpless.
Yesterday, I got caught in a “fake breakout.” XAUT shot up in an instant, and I chased it with my entire position, only for the price to fall right back within ten minutes. I stared at the screen for half an hour, breaking out in a cold sweat, terrified that all those meager profits I’d built up would be wiped out at once… This constant back-and-forth by the thinnest of margins, watching your money slowly grow while knowing it could all disappear at any moment, is honestly more agonizing than losing a lot of money.
A lot of people ask why I’m so fixated on XAUT. Because I’m not smart enough or rich enough. I’ve seen through those trading gurus who call out trades—they make money off people’s emotions, while all I can do is grind out profits from volatility. The market right now is like a stagnant pond. ETH is dithering around $2,509, and BTC has no clear direction. At times like this, I don’t bet on direction. I only dare to run a slow-and-steady grid like this… I didn’t make big money today, but at least I didn’t get liquidated, and I kept my cool. That’s a win.
