Strive CEO Matt Cole was blunt on a podcast: Bitcoin could reach $500,000 by 2030.

His reasoning comes down to the dollar. He expects the dollar to see its steepest decline of the Bitcoin era over the next three to seven years. With Treasury yields rising and government debt piling up, the only tool left is to expand buybacks and dilute the currency to ease the burden. Cole put it plainly: their solution is to make money worth less. He expects this to happen within 18 months.

In his view, artificial intelligence won’t help either. The tax revenue generated by AI-driven productivity gains won’t plug the debt hole, so ultimately they’ll still have to turn to currency debasement.

The market’s response is straightforward. Today, Saturday, 23.2 million Strive warrants expire, with an exercise price of $27 and the stock trading above $30. If all are exercised, Strive could bring in $627 million in cash—enough to buy more than 7,000 bitcoins. Cole acknowledged that Strive doesn’t focus on the Sharpe ratio, and that its preferred-stock financing costs 13%.

He expects this pullback to be 30% to 50%—shallower than the 80% drawdowns of the past—because more institutions are entering the market and the halving cycle is having less influence over Bitcoin’s price.
