- Breaking news! Ledger, one of the world’s largest hardware wallet brands, is suspected of being the victim of a supply chain attack involving more than $86 million!
It has been revealed that multiple blockchains, including BTC, ETH, and TRON, have experienced a coordinated theft, with the stolen funds exceeding $86 million (approximately RMB 600 million). Rumors suggest the losses could reach nearly $100 million! Even more shockingly, this may not have been a software vulnerability—someone may have tampered with the hardware wallets before they were delivered to users!
Ledger has urgently asked its authorized Southeast Asian distributor, CryptoBilis, to suspend all sales and shipments, and issued the following warning:
1. Devices purchased within the past 90 days that have not yet been activated should no longer be used immediately.
2. Current users are advised to transfer their assets to a new device using a new recovery phrase.
