China’s top leadership has called for a national blockchain network as one of 19 measures in a new economic blueprint, while warning officials against bubbles and a shift away from the real economy. According to BeInCrypto, the October 9 policy from the Communist Party’s Central Committee and the State Council also backs a nationwide computing grid, East Data, West Computing, and new rules on data ownership and trading, but says nothing about Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies. China already runs the state-backed Blockchain-based Service Network, which does not allow independent cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin.
