​The initial pump and sideways chop seen at launch for new ecosystem tokens like Talus ($US) is classic behavior driven by listing liquidity absorption and early allocation unlocks. New AI narrative tokens see volume spikes early on, but support zones keep getting retested until the circulating supply is in stable hands.

​Moves in Chinese narrative meme coins and low-cap tokens like $龙虾 (Lobster) depend strictly on social sentiment and on-chain DEX liquidity rotation. Even a small amount of capital can create a 30% to 50% candle in low-liquidity pools, and that's where early callers use retail traders as exit liquidity, leaving them holding the bag.

​If you want to trade these setups, focus on three rules:

Check the ratio of futures volume to spot volume. If the move is being driven only by leveraged perpetuals, don't chase it.

Monitor RSI and funding rates at the top of every pump. Overheated funding means a long squeeze could be triggered at any moment.

Recognize narrative shifts. An altcoin will only sustain its move when BTC is range-bound and spot buying remains consistent.
