📚【Educational Series】Why does the price keep getting pushed back at the same level?
Recently, $BTC has been fluctuating around 82790, down 0.55% over 24h. $ETH is at 2494, down 0.46%, while BNB is bucking the trend, up 0.71% to 747.89, and SOL has pulled back 1.28% to 109.67. Many people are asking: Why is 87,000 proving so hard to break through?
This brings us to two concepts every beginner should learn: support and resistance.
1️⃣ Resistance: When the price rises to around the same level several times and then falls back, it means selling pressure is concentrated above. It’s like a ceiling—if the price fails to break through after three attempts, be cautious in the short term.
2️⃣ Support: When the price falls to around the same level and then bounces, it means buyers are stepping in below. It’s like a floor.
3️⃣ Triangle consolidation: When the lows keep rising while the highs are capped at the same level, volatility gets smaller and smaller. This often means the market is about to choose a direction. Don’t chase rallies or panic-sell—waiting for a confirmed close above or below the pattern is a safer approach.
Quick exercise: Open a daily chart, draw a line connecting the last three highs, then draw another connecting the lows. You’ll have your own trading map.
When you look at charts, do you draw support and resistance first, or just look at price changes? Share your approach in the comments 👇
