#国务院提出建设国家区块链网络

Holy crap, blockchain has actually been written into the national development blueprint this time!

On October 9, the CPC Central Committee and the State Council issued the Opinions on Developing New Quality Productive Forces, explicitly proposing the development of a national blockchain network and a nationwide integrated computing-power network.

And this isn’t an idea that came out of nowhere. The outline of this year’s 15th Five-Year Plan had already proposed launching a project to build a national blockchain network.

I think the biggest significance of this is that blockchain is gradually moving from a technological concept toward becoming part of the country’s digital infrastructure.

In the past, when people heard “blockchain,” the first things they thought of were Bitcoin, crypto trading, and launching shitcoins.

But the direction the country is promoting this time is more about enabling data to flow securely and reliably among government agencies, businesses, and financial institutions. In the future, blockchain could be applied in areas such as digital identity, supply chains, government services, and industrial finance.

This means blockchain’s value is being recognized in more real-world business scenarios.

However, the national blockchain network discussed here is primarily intended for industrial applications. It doesn’t mean that policies on public blockchains or cryptocurrency trading have changed.

For the crypto world, I think this is more of a long-term narrative. In particular, areas like RWA, data assets, and on-chain settlement are worth keeping an eye on.

People used to talk about blockchain changing the world every day. Now the country is starting to promote its integration into real-world industries.

The most important thing to watch next is which projects can actually be implemented and which companies can win contracts.

After all, a concept can be hyped for a while, but only applications that create real value have a chance of going further.
