What can a hardware wallet protect against, and what can’t it protect against?
A hardware wallet is a dedicated signing device. Its private keys are generated and stored on the device, and usually never leave it in plaintext.
If a device arrives with a recovery phrase already set up, don’t use it. Contact the brand’s official support team.
$BTC , which people often hold for the long term, is commonly stored in a hardware wallet. Transfer transactions are signed on the device. Current price: 82821.79.
