BINANCE IN BRAZIL: WHAT REALLY CHANGES (Part 2).
From now on, local operations will be split between two companies in the group.
Transfers between local and international accounts will be reported to the Central Bank.
22 tokens will no longer be traded in Brazil as of 27/10
XVG, USDE, USTC, DCR, DUSK, PIVX, BB, MANTRA, ONE, GMT, TFUEL, ZIL, ONT, RVN, ACX, HIT, PYR, VANRY, VIC, ICX, SCRT and STORJ.
You can sell until the 27th. After that, the balance will remain in your account: withdraw it or move it elsewhere. It won’t disappear.
Who migrates and who doesn’t
Those whose registered address is in Brazil will migrate. Brazilians living abroad with valid proof of address will stay on the global platform. If your address is out of date, update it beforehand.
Taxation, according to Binance itself
The exchange says that, as of October 29, local operations will be treated as investments in virtual assets in Brazil, rather than abroad. Sales of up to R$ 35 thousand per month will remain tax-exempt. Above that amount, the gains for the entire month will be subject to a tax rate of 15% to 22.5%. Swaps (BTC for ETH, for example) count toward the limit. Transactions made through the Abu Dhabi account are subject to different rules and, for now, reporting is the user’s responsibility.
Practical summary: Spot trading, deposits, withdrawals, and custody will continue. What the regulation has removed is leverage, yield from the platform’s own products, campaign airdrops, and a list of less liquid tokens. Futures are available only through an international account, with reporting to the Central Bank.
