Regulatory developments tend to follow a set pattern. Rules are established first, then institutions feel confident enough to enter the market. Once they do, trading volume can pick up.
So when I look at regulatory news, I don’t just ask whether it’s good or bad. I look at whether it opens or closes the door to capital.
Loosening rules opens the door; tightening them closes it. Letting things drag on in ambiguity is neither good nor bad—it just wastes time.
