【Market Update】Cardano gets a double boost at TOKEN2049, as on-chain activity and the price of $ADA rebound in tandem.
Santiment data shows that from October 7 to 8, Cardano had around 27,500 daily active addresses—1.7 times the average for weekdays in September. Active addresses for $BTC and $ETH did not rise over the same period. This surge in activity is directly related to the new token standard CIP-0113, launched on October 7. The standard allows issuers of regulated assets to embed compliance requirements such as KYC, sanctions screening, and transfer restrictions directly into native tokens. The Cardano Foundation says it has passed multiple independent security audits and received recognition from CMTA.
Another development is that Cardano’s application for the .ada internet top-level domain has advanced to the next stage of ICANN’s new gTLD program. The proposal previously passed a community on-chain governance vote with approximately 75% support.
As for the price, $ADA was previously rejected at a multi-month high of $0.28, then fell below $0.24, but has rebounded by more than 7% over the past 24 hours.
