Under Decree No. 320/2026/NĐ-CP, the following electronic transaction accounts created before September 28, 2026, must be linked to and verified with VNeID by December 31, 2026.
• The requirement applies to 11 groups: social media platforms in Vietnam, securities, telecommunications, education, digital literacy, e-commerce, e-invoices, transport businesses, tourism, pharmaceuticals, and medical examinations and treatment.
• For e-commerce, the requirement applies only to seller, livestreaming, and affiliate marketing accounts. Accounts used only for shopping are not included.
• Bank accounts created before September 28, 2026, have a separate deadline of June 30, 2027.
• National digital platforms must integrate VNeID so users can log in, verify their identity, and conduct transactions by the end of 2026.
Users should follow instructions from their telecom providers, securities firms, social media platforms, and other services they use to link their accounts on each platform.
