To be honest, when I first started learning technical analysis, I’d jump in whenever I saw a MACD golden cross and sell whenever I saw a death cross. In the end, I got whipsawed again and again in a choppy market.
Now, when I look at this 4-hour death cross $RLC , the first thing I check is where it occurred: above the zero line. I interpret a death cross above the zero line as a sign that the rally may be getting tired and could pull back—it doesn’t necessarily mean the trend is over.
