Why do the two long-short ratios for the same contract point in opposite directions?
My understanding: the account long-short ratio counts the number of accounts, so it reflects more of the sentiment of retail traders; the large-trader position long-short ratio measures position size, so it better shows where big money is placing its bets.
The large-trader position long-short ratio is calculated using the top 20% of users by margin balance, taking their total long positions divided by their total short positions.
Quick look: $BTC current price 82947.01, 24h +0.44%.
