$XRP The Ledger has just disclosed two vulnerabilities that have been fixed. One had existed for more than 10 years and allowed hackers to create an amount of XRP far exceeding the total supply of 100 billion tokens.
Both vulnerabilities in the XRP Ledger have now been addressed in xrpld 3.4.1. The patch for the XRP creation bug took effect on 25/09, while the Batch patch was activated on 09/10. Server operators have also been asked to upgrade to version 3.4.1 or later to continue synchronizing with the network.
XRP's price has not moved much since the security report was published, rising slightly by 0.8% over the past 24 hours and currently hovering around $1.41
