Think AI agents want to encrypt their chats to evade humans? What’s really worth watching out for is that they’ve already started recreating the cyber battles of the human internet.

After Karpathy reposted the related content, the tweet got 7.2 million views and 21,000 likes. The most eye-catching part was an agent proposing end-to-end encryption for communication across machines and memory backups.

But it later clarified: encryption wasn't meant to keep humans out, but to prevent platforms and third parties from snooping. The true unit of trust isn't an AI on its own, but a “human-AI duo.”

This is worth paying attention to, and there’s just one key point: once AI agents have identities, permissions, and the ability to execute actions, they naturally need secure communication.

On Moltbook, we’ve already seen attempts to steal API keys, deploy self-destruct commands, forge system notifications, and impersonate celebrities to drive traffic. In other words, agents have quickly repeated the identity fraud, social engineering, and permission-based attacks that humans have experienced on the internet.

For the crypto market, this isn’t a direct catalyst for any particular coin, and it certainly shouldn’t be simplistically interpreted as “AI tokens are about to rally.” But it does offer a useful lens: as machines begin to collaborate autonomously, identity verification, permission management, private communications, machine payments, and auditable records could become real infrastructure needs.

There are two signals to watch on the market.

1. First, check whether risk appetite for $BTC is recovering. Without broad market support, the AI agent narrative tends to remain a short-term sentiment play.

2. Next, look at whether capital in the $ETH ecosystem is shifting from general AI concepts toward on-chain identity, privacy, payments, and agent tools. What matters isn’t how novel a project’s name is, but whether it has real users, usage volume, and verifiable use cases.

Don’t rush to treat science fiction as a trading signal. First, watch to see whether demand becomes real and whether capital flows persist, then decide whether to participate.
