🔥 Tom Lee has made another bullish call, and this time I’m siding with him—because I’m looking at his books, not his words!
This guy just said: $BTC could hit $100,000 by year-end, and $ETH could break $5,000 first. If Bitcoin really reaches $100,000, he sees Ethereum going straight to $7,500. Sounds crazy, right? But the person saying this holds close to 5% of ETH’s circulating supply. He’s not just talking big and then walking away.

I dug up a few data points. See what you think.

First, expectations for rate hikes have already fallen apart. After a shockingly weak nonfarm payrolls report, the probability of a rate hike in October plunged from 75% to just 17.7%. The cumulative probability of a rate hike by December is 83.7%, but that’s for a maximum of 50 basis points. Waller is still talking tough and sounding hawkish, but the market is already pricing in easing. Tom Lee put it bluntly: tech stocks and crypto strengthening at the same time isn’t something you’d see in a tightening environment.

Second, money is flowing in, not out. Yesterday, spot BTC ETFs saw net inflows of $21.12 million, with IBIT alone accounting for $22.38 million; nearly everything else was flat. This extremely concentrated inflow pattern tells us one thing: only big money is moving, while retail investors are sitting on the sidelines. Big money doesn’t typically concentrate its buying at the top.

Third, the price action is at an interesting juncture. BTC is hovering around $82,500, moving sideways on declining daily volume. The Fear and Greed Index has fallen to 56—sentiment isn’t great, but it hasn’t collapsed. Ethereum is repeatedly battling around the $2,500 level. Sell orders from bears are definitely piling up, but the price hasn’t broken through to the downside.

The core of Tom Lee’s thesis this time isn’t “talking up the market.” He believes the CLARITY Act will pass after the midterm elections, alongside a return of liquidity and institutional buying driven by quarterly performance pressures. The midterms are four weeks away, and he calls this a “clearing event.”

I don’t fully believe his price targets, but I do believe one thing: someone putting real money on the line is more worth listening to than a thousand bearish analysts. There may be some “speed bumps” in the short term, but the overall direction probably hasn’t changed.
