$SNDK I helped this guy trade SanDisk. The long trades went the wrong way, but luckily we bought the dip and took profits in time. We didn’t stubbornly hold the longs; as soon as things looked wrong, we changed strategies and went short. We made money on both the long and short trades.
Before the market opened, I was already pretty skeptical about a recovery in semiconductors. But after several intraday drops in a row, I thought today’s gap-up might bring a rebound, and that the bulls would probably step in around 1620. I didn’t expect a single bearish candle right at the open to send it tumbling to 1608. That was very unusual—the money seemed to have received the news ahead of time. It hadn’t climbed back to the safer level of 1640, and we still had to deal with the risk of funds flowing out late in the session. So I decisively took profits and went short.
That was close—I almost got trapped. The battle between bulls and bears is around 1640. If it can’t rebound above that level, we’ll have to give up defending it and wait for the short positions to unwind before looking for a place to get back in.
It’s currently hovering around 1580. I don’t expect much volatility over the next couple of days, so we’ll have to see what happens over the weekend or on Monday. As long as there’s no bad news over the weekend, we’ll probably see a rebound on Monday. #B3PlansSecuritiesTokenizationPlatformForFirstHalfOf2027
