Election noise starts weighing on risk assets
In an early October poll of 2,001 people conducted by PF Global, 26% of Trump’s 2024 supporters said they want the Republican candidate in their district to distance themselves from him. On economic issues, 61% want candidates to keep their distance, 44% say their household finances have worsened, and 59% say food and gasoline have become less affordable—including 40% of Trump’s own voter base.
Republicans are starting to come under pressure in seats that were previously considered safe, so policy expectations ahead of November should be taken with a grain of salt. With tariffs and fiscal policy still up in the air, marginal dollar liquidity is tightening. High-beta assets like $BTC are among the first to have some risk budget pulled from them, while ETH and SOL could see even sharper declines.
Would you dare place a buy order here, or wait until after the November votes are counted?
