To be honest, $MAGIC
This trade returned 845%, and I barely even kept an eye on it.
I’m not trying to humblebrag. Before I opened the position, I’d already thought it through: at 0.09, there wasn’t much room for it to fall.
You can look back at my earlier posts. MAGIC had been consolidating near the bottom for almost half a year, the moving averages had just started turning up, and suddenly the volume came in. Retail traders can’t create a chart like that. The big players had been holding back for so long—they weren’t going to sell after a few percentage points. $RLC
So what I did was simple. I entered in four batches, only adding each time after the market confirmed the move. At 0.09718, 0.10287, and 0.10597, the move kept getting more convincing, so I kept adding. I didn’t go all in right away—that’s gambling, not trading.
Then I just held. For 14 hours, there were fluctuations along the way, but my exit conditions hadn’t been met, so I didn’t move. A lot of people ask me, “It’s gone up so much—why not sell? Aren’t you worried about a pullback?” I am, but you still have to hold when the setup calls for it. Look back at the people who’ve really made big gains—not one of them is constantly jumping in and out. $STRK
When this trade was done, I had over 9,000 U in the bag.
I’m not saying this to prove how good I am. I just want to tell you one thing: I’m not the only one who can make money this way. I’ve seen so many people get the direction right and enter a position, but then sell as soon as it rises a little or cut their losses as soon as it dips a little. In the end, the move is over, and they’re still going around in circles.
It’s never been a matter of having the right instincts—it’s about timing. When to enter, when to add, when to exit. No one teaches you these things, so if you figure them out on your own, the tuition comes out of your capital.
After trading for these past few years, I may not have much else, but I’ve learned a thing or two about timing. If you want to avoid some wrong turns and follow my rhythm, I can’t promise you’ll catch the full move on every trade, but at least you’ll understand how money is made—and how it’s lost.
