Arizona is suing TikTok over allegations that the app was engineered to addict children and teens while concealing mental health harms. According to NS3.AI, Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes said the lawsuit accuses TikTok and parent company ByteDance of using engagement features to keep minors on the app and profit from minors' data.

The complaint also alleges that TikTok knowingly allows children under 13 to use the app despite publicly saying it bars them. A TikTok spokesperson denied the allegations and said the company will vigorously defend itself against the claims, KJZZ reported.
